I haven't played the Eastwood, but I have played a few Messengers over the years. I have no hesitation in saying that the Eastwood is a much better guitar. Messengers were pretty awful.

Thanks for doing this, very helpful. My problem is this amp sounded great in the store while playing fairly quietly. It had a "fidelity"(?) or something that my Vox combos don't. But now that i have it home it seems to have a permanent bassy/delay sound that i cant get rid of no matter what i do! Yours sound good though. What i was really looking for is aren't there any presets inside the amp? And how do we get to the little window mine is blank. And can you only save 5 presets on the footswitch? What happened to 128? I guess all that is in the app/program? It better not only be for iPad... Sorry to rant ill google or look for the manual online. Thanks again for the video, rock on!

Not much content in this guitar.. well.. not much showcasing a range of styles which this guitar clearly can handle. After buying my Epi Casino I just love love hollow body guitars and Eastman just spec like bosses so I think this could be the perfect guitar.. So it doesn’t have p90’s but I can really hear the feel you are getting from the body type. These now are coming up for around 800 bucks which is just hard to pass tbh.

Sounds good homie. Yeah I wasn't expecting CH2 to sound like that. A pleasant surprise. Reminds me of the nice warm drive I got from the Blackstar HT Stage 100 despite it being marketed as a metal amp. I agree about the footwsitch cable interface. The Nitro has 2 TRS jacks and the switch is still a 3 button switch but splits to a pair of TRS connectors so I can get by with a single button switch if I just want to toggle between clean/overdrive or just use a single switch to toggle solo boost on/off if I don't need to change channels.

I really like your demos! Just getting back into guitar after 10 year break. Brought out my 2005-2006 CT6 in Flame maple tobacco burst. That guitar is pretty much mint condition. It had issues with neck stability for a few years and I stopped playing for various reasons... Jump to 2024 and I take many guitars out of their cases for the first time in several years CT6 is one of them. All of a sudden, the neck has settled dead straight. Ultra low action. So low my fumble fingers need more distance to ring clear notes. I dont have a feather-touch. Only thing it needs is Stainless fret ends dressed due to neck shrinkage. My Fender deluxe did that after a year or two. Thats it. Oh and the pick ups. Theyre not bad, but def not my cup of tea anymore. I like cleaner pickups.. Was thinking Ive got a PRS SC58 with 57/08 pickups in it. Got a spare set of those pickups and thinking of making my 2005ish Carvin CT6 into a real PRS killer with genuine deal pickups. That may be the final piece to my almost 20 year Carvin CT6 puzzle. Did you ever upgrade the pickups in your Carvin CT6?

"A lot of legends" Use them" Besides The Rev Willie G, NAME THEM ! & ANY ZZ Fan ( That plays Guitar ) Will admit that's the worst sounding ZZ Sound. Period. There's an Incredibly good reason no one playes them. ( Hint) It's the power tubes where the MAGIC HAPPENS. &, Most any amp sounds OK & Low Volume.

Your dirty tones are over saturated in my ears, I understand we often gravitate toward such but brother your's are dripping all over the sphere, too much mate for sure, modellers are often tricky little buggers to get in the zone with at the best of times and your tones demoed here sound more like like a 'post' grafting into an already committed mastered recording, there's not a lot live-sounding about it by the listening here, I too use a modeller/multi effect configuration and one of the biggest traps to fall into is over applying delay/reverb effects particularly by default unfortunately, I think the best solution is to only ensure your end game is sent to full range cab/s via a clean power amp only, filtering is best left to the ears on the player and nobody else if they are worth the salt initially, even though I'm using full range cab/s via as I've mentioned I'm easily achieving killer live-instant in-the-room/space feel and ambience with ease, including fully tube sounding feel and bight to literally wet your pants over in every setting mate, I've got a background in super live and recorded tone and often I've been asked to reveal my gear and it's tweaks because it obviously passes even blind tests I've had a lot of fun conducting for mates when they hear me live or recorded to match....it's preferable to remain on the easier to achieve and maintain consistent tone excellence with modeller/multi stuff for certain...good luck man!

Great demo, superb playing and tone!! Skynyrd, GFR etc.❤ Q: There is significantly much more hum going on with the middle position. Is there a technical reason for that or just the standard “double the hum” from double the PUs? Also what amp are you playing and how do you set it? Sounds quite bright which I like. Many other videos sound dull in HB mode. Also, is there a volume drop with the “weaker” PUs or are they compensating for it somehow or did you have to put on a compressor (and eq ; ) while recording? Man, you are a killer player! I'm also normally more of an amp gain guy. May I ask, I really like the Super Lead sounds on the Silicon side you're getting, have you tried the RevivalDrive Compact and can it get that Super Lead like sound?

Good demo, I have a VS100 and the trick to taming the harshness on these amps I've found after some experimentation is to stick a Mullard brand Long Plate 12AX7 preamp tube in there, one that already has pre burn in, and it gets rids of the ice picky harshness, smooths it out and fattens up the tone and reduces that hybrid sizzle

YES someone else has this pedal too!!!! It occupies a weird spot: no matter how much to try to hear from demos (yours was so great btw), the real reason why this pedal is SO legendary is the feel. I use this on bass & I go amp less, & the responsiveness of this pedal is completely unmatched. I had a hard time justifying buying this as my main overdrive, but then I thought of it this way, “this pedal recreated ALL of the electronics in the amp to the most accurate measure it possibly can, so I’m almost exactly playing through two different, switchable amps as my overdrive source, at two different gain levels, while also being able to blend characteristics from different amp types in a size that doesn’t require me to lug around two independent amps” That helped a lot with my purchase, as I also plan to NEVER get rid of this thing… it’s an absolute technical marvel of electrical engineering & I wonder if we’ll ever see something like it come around!

Yeah, I hear that guttural Gibbons sound in the Overdrive. The Lead 80 is also a fairly dark speaker. It works for the tone, but I might try a speaker with better high-end that isn't shrill. Ever tried a Weber Ceramic Legend 12 55Hz cone or the cloth surround 1230-55? A 100W (Aluminum voice coil version), 50oz magnet, Pre-Rola doped Ceramic 1230-55 would give it better 4kHz+ chime & air without being shrill/spikey in the 2~4kHz range. You might ask them if less doping would complement that guttural midrange sound. I have a hunch it might.

man my brigde was colapsed the same way... i just sand the saddles with a file to correct the heights and did the top wrap to leave the preassure under the brigde

5:36 is when my feet got tingly and my heart dropped. I would have hyperventilated before the show even started. It takes BALLS to perform

The lighter strings are producing more wild overtones that sound great clean but absolutely wild with gain, either clean or dirty it sounds cool but especially playing chords where each string note contributes its own overtones. The thicker strings have a clearer fundamental note and to my ear, a slight low end bump and chords sound more unified, I suppose the term pianolike wound apply.
